Bright Spring: Lipstick

Updated: Feb 6

Coral orange lipstick smear on a white background with "Bonny's Styling" text in elegant script and "Est 2020" circular design in the corner.

As well as adding an essential pop of colour, certain lipsticks can both protect and hydrate your lips. This is why they’re a crucial feature on any dressing table.

When it comes to Bright Spring, the best lipstick colours are bold and warm. This means hot corals, salmon pinks and fresh plum purples. These individuals also need to balance their clear chroma with glossy or lustrous finishes.

In this article, we’ve used a variety of red, pink, orange, purple and brown lipsticks to demonstrate which colours we’d advise for Bright Spring as well as those you should avoid. Affiliate links have been used to provide additional visual examples.

Please note, this advice is generic for all Bright Spring individuals and recommendations will vary based on your unique colouring. Some trial and error may be required in order to find the best shade for yourself. For personalised advice, we suggest purchasing a Colour Analysis package with the makeup option.

Bright Spring lipsticks are taken from the reds, oranges and pinks on the colour chart.

This subtype belongs to a season influenced by light value so the deeper variations will be better tolerated by those leaning towards Bright Winter.

Those who lean closer to Warm Spring will need lighter colours in order to maintain balance. They should avoid very fair colours, such as those recommended for Light Spring, as these do not meet Bright Spring's contrast level.
